A roofer going out on his own, with no website, no photographs online and no way to be found. Now a portfolio he updates himself from the scaffold.
Will had years on roofs across south and west Wales, contracting to established firms. What he did not have was anything a homeowner could find, or anything to show them once they did. The site had to do two jobs at once: prove the work is good, and prove the man is worth ringing, without inventing a track record the business had not earned yet.
Every job, photograph and detail is his to change, from a phone on site. No developer, no invoice, no waiting. Photographs upload straight off the camera roll and are resized on the way in.
His customers are in villages with two bars. A six megabyte site photograph reaches them as a hundred kilobytes, the typefaces are served from the site itself, and nothing waits on a third party before the page appears.
The town, the counties, the hours and every job's location are all structured for search, so "roofer near me" in Cardigan has something to find.
The jobs were worked while contracting to other firms, and the site says so. It claims no insurance he does not hold and no customers he has not had. Trust that survives the first phone call.
Slate greys and a working red, built from his own logo. Photography of real roofs doing the talking, never stock.
A static site generated ahead of time, so every page is already written before anyone asks for it. Structured data throughout for local search.
Cloudflare, with the enquiry form handled at the edge and mail sent from his own domain. No server to patch, nothing to go down at 2am.
